What is a mention market?
A prediction market on whether a speaker will say a given word or phrase during a live event, such as a rally, a speech, an earnings call or a press conference.
How fast is it?
Each word flips to SAID about 0.1 s after the audio reaches us, usually before the speaker has finished the word; about one word in ten takes up to 0.8 s. How the audio reaches us adds time on top: a public livestream adds 2 to 5 seconds.
