Newsroom standards

Can we publish what Saidwire writes?

Yes. Pro members may publish our drafts, quotes and story text under their own byline or account, edited or as is. See the Terms.

How are quotes checked?

Every quote in a post must match the live transcript word for word before it can go out; a second model reviews each post for names, titles and context. Times are when the words were spoken, from the live audio.

Where does it come from?

Only the event's live audio. We don't receive speeches or remarks in advance.

What about mistakes?

If a word or quote is wrong, we post a visible correction. We never quietly delete it.

Is Saidwire independent?

Yes. Saidwire is independently owned and isn't affiliated with any campaign, party or exchange. Every Pro member gets the same coverage at the same moment.

Can my company pay?

Yes. Stripe emails a receipt for every charge, and you can update the card or cancel from Manage subscription.
