Chipotle Q3 comps rise 2.1%, but margin falls; Q4 comps seen near 2%, margin under 22%

Executives said industry headwinds slowed sales from mid-July and that October softened, with a smoked brisket launch next week expected to lift the fourth quarter's exit rate.

Chipotle Mexican Grill reported third-quarter comparable restaurant sales growth of 2.1% on sales of $3.3 billion, up 9.6%, and guided to fourth-quarter comps of "around a plus 2%" with a restaurant-level margin just under 22%, executives said on the company's earnings call. Adjusted diluted earnings per share fell 7% from a year earlier, and restaurant-level margin was 23.3%, down 120 basis points.

October softness, brisket launch

Chief Financial Officer Adam Rymer said industry headwinds beginning in mid-July slowed the company's momentum, prompting promotional offers, and that trends normalized by late August and improved further in September. "October trends have softened consistent with the broader industry," he said. CEO Scott Boatwright said the company finished September with comps up 3.8% and "very little promo activity," and that it has since "regained positive transactions" after a pullback in early October. The company expects an exit rate of 3% to 4% for the year, fueled by the smoked brisket launch next week, and reiterated its low-single-digit comp guidance for 2026. Third-quarter transactions rose 0.8%, and digital sales were 38.8% of the total.

Margins, pricing and 2027

Third-quarter cost of sales was 29.5%, down about 50 basis points, as menu pricing and tariff relief more than offset inflation driven mainly by beef and freight. Labor was 25.7%, up about 50 basis points, and other operating costs were 16%, up about 100 basis points on marketing, delivery mix and inflation. For the fourth quarter, the company expects cost of sales near 30.5% because of brisket, and marketing in the high-3% range of sales. Rymer said about half of the roughly 150-basis-point year-over-year margin decline is a gift card breakage benefit in the prior year, with the remainder tied to brisket marketing and sales volume. Pricing was about 2.7% in the third quarter and is expected near 3% in the fourth, bringing 2026 pricing to around 2%. For 2027, the company anticipates overall inflation in the low-to-mid single-digit range and said a nominal comp of about 4% would be needed to stabilize margins at 3% inflation. Rymer said a mid-24% margin is a baseline for 2027 if pricing offsets inflation and the company adds at least a point of transaction growth. No 2027 comp guidance was given. Boatwright put 2027 marketing at around 3% of sales.

Expansion, buybacks and international

Chipotle opened 84 company-owned and five partner-operated restaurants in the quarter, entering Mexico, Saudi Arabia and South Korea, and now operates in 11 countries. It plans about 350 openings this year and 340 to 360 company-owned openings in the U.S. and Canada in 2027, plus 15 to 25 partner-operated restaurants abroad. Asked about the pace of Middle East growth, Boatwright said it "will really depend on what's going on with the conflict in the Middle East." The company ended the quarter with $1 billion in cash and investments and no debt, has repurchased $1.4 billion of stock this year, and has about $1.6 billion remaining under its authorization. Rymer said a blackout period kept it out of the market for part of the quarter. Boatwright said catering and group occasions represent 2% to 3% of sales and will roll out nationally in the first quarter.

it down so that it's

far

in

our

i think there's a perception that comps are down so far in october

October

and

so

that was

making

people down

was the same.

and so that's making people jump to conclusions about

the

whether what working was not

time

wondering what's working what's not working

Help

Helen

so perhaps you can comment more specifically on october to date

what's happened and then what's your diagnosis what is what

Um what invocation does it

have for

your

And

what sort

of same strategy is

sales

does this have for your strategy and what

expectation you

might

sort of same store sales expectation you might have for twenty seven and thank you

have

for twenty-seven, and thank you.

Hi,

David, it's got

here. Thank

you for

the

hi david scott here thank you for the question

question.

Um, you

know I'll tell

you

the

what I told

you how we fed

finished

September

up

three point eight

i'll tell you we entered the quarter well i'll tell you we finished september up

three point eight percent

with

a

uh

little

too

very

little

problem with

activity,

which

gave

us

a

lot

of kind

confidence that

we

were

on

with little to very little promo activity

the

right

which gave us a lot of confidence that we're on the right track

track.

Uh we saw

some

broader in the middle of the

industry

pullback at

the first

part of

we saw some broader industry pullback in the first part of october

October.

Uh I'll tell you what I'm

we have a lot of people who are going to be

sent a lot of

three

regained

part of

i'll tell you we have since regained positive transactions

transactions

and

we

have

high

confidence in

the

balance of

the

and we have high confidence in the balance of the quarter

quarter.

Uh, on

the

back

of what

is

an

it next?

extraordinary

product

in

brisket, which

on the back of what is an extraordinary product in brisket which is

is

has

had

incredible

had incredible demand

demand

of

the

past

few

years when

we

offered

over the past few years when we offered it

it.

Uh we

see

no different

difference this

year. We think

the

product's

improved

and

even

better.

And so we

feel

we see no difference this year we think the products improved and even better

very

confident

and so we feel very confident that

that,

I

uh

November and

December set

up

very

well for

november and december set up very well for us

us.

but the

potential

exit

rate on the

ear

of three

to five

four

percent of the earth is a very good

with a potential exit rate on the year of three to four percent

percent

Yeah, no, I had

to that

they just give you a little bit of a

another

an

idea for the

Q

four,

So, take a look at the

him into

account

yeah and i'll add to that david just to give you an idea

the

choppy

start, for

the

for q4 so taking into account the choppy start for the quarter

quarter

ended

the

dynamic

consumer

and the dynamic consumer environment

environment.

we

anticipate

that

our cube is a very important

for

four

from the

console

will actually be a very good

around the

plus

two

2%.

but

like

Scott

said,

well, I don't know if I can do

have

we anticipate that our q4 comps will actually be around a plus two percent

an

excess of

rate in

that

3 to

4 percent

range

And again, that's

going to

be

fueled

by

the

but like scott said we'll have an exit rate in that three percent to four percent range and again that's going

launch of

brisket

next

be fueled by the launch of brisket next week

As well as

several

more

market

initiatives that

we

have

as well as several marketing initiatives that we have planned

You know, we have to do

we're con

gonna

just

really

excuse

really to

continue

to

build upon

this

momentum in

and we're really excited really to continue to build upon this momentum in twenty twenty seven

2027.

Too early to

give

any kind of a good

guide to this

point

for

calm, so we'll do

that at the

next

too early to give any kind of guide at this point for comps we'll do that at the next call

call.

I think I'm going to go to the next one.

But it's still

early

days with the

many of things that we

we're

our

sales

building

in

initiatives

from a

our

recipe

for

growth

but it's still early days with many of our sales building initiatives from a recipe for growth strategy

So you can do

imagine that we're going to be able to do

when you're

works

excited as

this can be

to

build and

20

2027 and

you can imagine that we're excited as this continues to build into twenty twenty seven and beyond

beyond.

Yeah, David, I'll be able to do

just

was

I'll one

more

on

out there, don't

the other

there.

I think it's a really good

important

note

to

yeah david i'll just one more i'll add on there i think it's a really important note to say

say

that there's a lot of things

only one thing that I have to

a lot of people who are not a good

few that little bit

core

of the

poles

strategy there,

are

actually

working

for

that there's only a few core tent poles of the strategy that are actually working for us

us here

in

twenty twenty

six.

might

of

us are

is

yet

to

continue to be a very good

build

scale,

here in twenty twenty six much of the strategy is yet to

and

unfold.

And most of it is a very good

groups are going to be able to do

that's

is a little bit of a little bit of a

still

well ahead of the

other

continue to build scale and unfold and most of the growth is still well ahead of us

us.

Thank

you.

Thank you,

i appreciate it thank you thank you david

David.

Thank

The next question

come

from

Sarah

thank you the next question comes from sara senatore with

bank of america

please go ahead

Please go ahead.

said

Thank

you.

Um

just make a

quite an

I'm grouping

and then uh

oh thank you just maybe a question on throughput and then a quick

a quick question

on

um

Adam

your your

comment

on

I'm

I think that's a good

question.

Yeah, I think with

yeah,

the

question on adam your comment on marketing

throughput piece, I think it's a little bit

one of

the

things

that

we've done is we have to do

heard

from

others

that may

maybe you

i think with the throughput piece one of the things that we've

know, there's

been

too

much

focus,

on,

um

heard from others is that maybe there's been too much focus on

focus at the expense of

hospitality.

was just

it

curious,

um you

know I know

you mentioned

speed of service at the expense of hospitality just curious

it

both,

but

I

do

think about

measuring

some of

i know you mentioned both but as you think about measuring

the

other

in

of these other metrics to ensure that you're the

You're um

the the experience is that a you know, it's that change.

Or, you know,

your your

you're

chocolate or your

experience is better you know has that changed what you are you know your

metrics that

you

like

for

or

um

checklist or your metrics that you measure for

For your

management

teams

or

how

they

are

your

said

And

then the question is, I think that's a good

I've been

was very

a good

your management teams or how they're compensated

you

mentioned no, I think it was a very good

normal

a very good

force?

for

marketing

and then the question for adam was you mentioned normalizing for

behind

iron brisket, I

guess I'm not sure if I can do

would have to say

trying get a little bit of a

to

understand

marketing behind brisket i guess i was trying to understand that

um that that comment about

more

I

that comment about normalizing since it sort of seems like just

this is a step up in spending around marketing that has worked for you it's

stuff up in in spending a lot marketing that that has worked for

Only one

it's not necessarily one time

time.

Sarah's got here

I'll

start

with the

three

throughput

question

I'll flip over to the

hi sarah scott here i'll start with

it

Adam

on

promo

throughput question i'll flip over to adam on promo spending

spending.

Um I think

it's important

to

note

that

two

is

performance

and

in

throughput

was very

consistent

with

what

i think it's important to note that q3's performance and throughput was very

we

saw in

and

you

do.

Bonus

is the

old

tied, so

crew

consistent with what we saw in q2 bonus

bonus

is

still

tied, of

according

link

Throughput and

measures.

is still tied so crew bonus is still tied to quarterly throughput measures

Uh in the

rest of day, I'm not sure if I

where we're going to be able to do

we

have

how he's going to

into

fully

loaded, it's

about

in the restaurants where we have heat into

1700

restaurants

today.

we're

seeing

uh plus

two

fully loaded it's about seventeen hundred restaurants today

aren't

in the middle of the

those

restaurants that come

compared to the rest of the rest of the

to

the

we're seeing plus two entrees in those restaurants as compared to

base.

which gives

us kind of a bad

lot

confidence that

the heat is a

heap

and the

investment

from

why didn't

he invests me at

for

a

the base which gives us confidence that the heap investment is the right investment for our brand

Brian?

And we'll

finish

that right

real

as we

we've talked

about

or

and you can put

that

roll

and we'll finish that rollout as we've talked about or near complete that rollout

by the end of the

twenty twenty

seven. I assure you that I'm not sure if

we are going to do

as

absolutely

fast as we

possibly

by the end of twenty twenty seven i assure you we are going as

can

absolutely fast as we possibly can there

there.

Also important to know

no

we were

the

there's Jason and

Tim

are about to be able to do

are

about

go under

the

also important to note we are jason and team are about to go under the tent

tet.

once

again with

through

point through

three two

point

oh and

Cafe with

once again with throughput two point o

the throughput

point one

back to

the

through

organization

once

again.

Would

is

and cascade the throughput fundamentals back through the organization once again

something

we

do

on and in the middle of the

annual

which is something we do on an annual basis

basis that we cannot

work

is

starting

here

this

quarter or

ensure that we're going to be able to do

ensure we

are

front

footed,

uh

going in

the twenty

that work is starting here this quarter to ensure we are front footed

to do

going into twenty twenty seven

seven uh can

we get back to the bottom of the

next

I think that's a good

am

absolutely

positive we get

can

can we get better i am absolutely positive we can get better

better.

Is it still

an

absolutely

focal

point for

this

organization?

It

is

cool and

is it still an absolute focal point for this organization

centre

to

you

Jason's

operational

it is core and center to jason's operational strategy

strategy.

We all

know

full

well

how

critical it

it's

important it

for

to

operational

brand and

we're

going to lose

leave

lean on

into

that

we all know full well how critically important it is to our brand and we're gonna lean into that

momentum

that's

building

and it

a really meaningful

way

here in

momentum that's building in a really meaningful way here in q four

Q4.

and

then hey Sarah

Adam

So to

answer your

question,

on

yeah and then hey sarah it's adam so to answer your question on marketing

marketing, you have

to think about

the

fact

that Switch is a very good

you think

to

this

the

for

four

protein

L T

strategy

that

we've

had this

you have to think about the fact that switching to this four protein lto strategy that we

year is

causing

some

shifts in

marketing.

So with

brisket

coming

on in

I think it's a very good

had this year is causing some shifts in marketing with brisket coming on in november

there's

little bit of a

lot

more

spend in

the

last two

months of the

year than kind

cannot

of

prior

years so

that's

's a little bit more spend in the last two months of the year than kind of prior year so that's where

where

we kind

of

talk

about

it and

the

of

that

campaign.

we

expect

market

cars to be able

a little

bit

higher

aren't

too

we kind of talk about in support of that campaign we expect marketing cost to be a little bit

far

so

that that

was for

of

comment

was based

in q4 so that was where that comment was based on

on.

the music.

Thank

Next question.

oh

thank you the next question comes from

Come from

danilo gargiulo with bernstein

Please go ahead.

and see what the hell is the matter.

get a picture of city.

great scott i wanted to

I want to explain

on the other

comment that

you

were

making

earlier.

um regarding

your

bias to the

expand on the comment that you were making earlier

watch.

I mean it's a very important

clear

that so

far you have a lot of things that you have to

you've

demonstrated a

greater bias to

regarding your bias to action i mean it's clear that so far you've demonstrated greater bias to

action as you

had, know, four L T

greater

graded

marketing

to

spending, more than

of a good

occasions

being

been

you had four ltos greater marketing spending more occasion being driven

driven.

Um

yet the

uh on on a

traffic

level, you

especially on the left, the

third

quarter, it

has

been very

relevant to the fact that it is a good

at

yet the on a traffic level especially on the third quarter

sadish this

So, I think that's a good

know you are not going to be able to do

sure if you have a lot of people who are

but I think it is very good

getting a lot of

giving

any

um you

know got to be a little bit

for

it has been relatively flattish this year so i know you're not giving any

trying do

but

just tell

the

they're

reactionary.

What do you

expect

is the

from

on

guidance for twenty twenty seven but just directionally

traffic?

um

meaning

do do you think

that

they

can get into the

what's your expectations on traffic meaning

part of

this

traffic

over

there

even if you have a lot of

the

do you think that you can get into positive traffic over there even if the market

market

over the

is

not in the

improving.

the

understand maybe that

the building

blocks are

of the

this

overall is not improving and if so can you help us understand maybe the building blocks

traffic?

uh of

this

positive

traffic

rule is

into

two twenty

of this traffic of this positive traffic growth into twenty twenty seven

Thank

thank you

you.

Yeah, you know

I think I heard

you um asking about

yeah danilo i think i heard you asking about traffic

I think I

traffic. You know, I told you we've heard about the

transactions all three quarters of the

year,

thus

you know i'll tell you we've had positive transactions all three quarters of the year thus far

far, and

we feel like

we're

all the

middle of the

rest

of the

for

go

strategy, which

is

designed

to

do

just

and we feel like we're in early days of the recipe for growth strategy which is designed to do just

that.

that

It's a

domain

driving

strategy of

it's a demand driving strategy across

you

know, the driving

core

tenants

of

technology

rush on

Yeah, yeah,

Innovation

brand

the core tenets of technology restaurant execution

messaging,

group of

occasions.

and we feel like

we're in the early

innovation brand messaging group occasions

days of the

that's

that

strategy so if

you're

and we feel like we're in early days of that strategy so if you're asking

asking,

uh,

can

we

drive

transactions, we

a

rule

really challenging

consumer

I think we have a lot of

done

demonstrated that we very good

can we drive transactions in a really challenging consumer environment i think we've demonstrated

for

the

past three

quarters of the

we

can

do

for the past three quarters we can do that

that.

and

the

strategy

is

only in

the

early

days, and we

can

take

the

build

and

scale.

as the

year

and the strategy is only in the early days and will continue to build and scale

unfolds

and as the

we end up with

twenty

in

twenty

as the year unfolds and as we enter twenty twenty seven

seven.

So if you're

asking

me if

I

have

confidence in

this

team's

ability

to

drive

trains

to

and

actions, in this

if you're asking me if i have confidence in this team's ability to drive transactions

environment.

The

answer

is I don't

absolutely

in this environment the answer is absolutely yes

yes.

thank you

The next question

comes from Dennis Geiger with

he

the next question comes from dennis geiger with ubs

please go ahead

Please go ahead.

Thanks guys.

What was

if you could talk about

a little bit the

more

about

the

i wonder

four

4Q

margin

expectations I don't

I'm going

if you could talk a little bit more about the 4q

great, you

know,

colour on my

by

line,

I don't

I'm

always

margin expectations adam great color by line item always

help.

I guess I can do

it's

what I'm

to the fact that not sure if

to

the

uh

the

complex cookies are not the

for a little

helpful i guess just relative to the comp expectation for the quarter

quarter. Any

of

other m

moving

pieces.

I I guess that's the

marketing

uh it seems like

I'm a

any other moving pieces i get that the marketing seems like

pretty

big

piece of

I

the

Any of things that you can do is that you can

to with

piece of

the piece the

for

four

floor she

gonna

then you

a pretty big piece of this any other moving pieces for the 4q margins that maybe you didn't touch

didn't touch

about

if

anything

on.

I think that's what I'm saying.

uh

our investment

in

on if anything on labor hours investment in

the middle of the

some

way I

that you

have

got. Anything

on

the promo in the middle of the

went

and

pack, yeah,

anything

else

to

the

in some of the labor programs that you've got anything on promo impacts anything else to

flag,

be

beyond

uh some of

those

items

you

you've

called that

or

earlier? Thank

flag beyond some of those items you called out earlier thank you

time?

Sure,

then what we call

that over earlier I guess, you

know, when you're coming

kind of walking in the middle of the

out

yeah sure dennis so yeah what we called out earlier of course

at it on a year over your

bases, it's down about

a

hundred and

fifty

basis

points after

of

when you're kind of looking at it on a year over year basis it's down about one

that is that you're going to

be able do

card

benefit that we

got the

prayer

So you kind of have to do

look at

and fifty basis points half of that is that gift card benefit that we got in

that

as

a as

the screen

I

item, you

based on

of

that

the prior year so you kind of have to look at that as discrete item based off of that

comparison

comparison.

and then the way they add

pro

promo should

shift to the

some of things

support

brisket, you

know call

that

another

30

basis

points or

then really the ad promo shift to support brisket you know call that another thirty base

basis points or so

so.

And then the

remainder of the case is the

or it was really

well as I'm

okay, so I think that's a good

talk about

I am

him, so we're

back

and then the remainder is really sales volume so we're expecting you

in you

know what I

with that

true

ish per

cent

guy would

to

at about

a

that

know with that two ish percent guide about a flat transaction

but I'm

mix

them a little

is probably about

a minus

one

1%.

but a mix impact of probably about a minus one percent

percent.

and then of course...

you've got the European

year

impact from the

New

restaurant

openings and so

then of course you've got the year over year impact from new restaurant openings and so

that gives you a good

the

bridge,

that gives you the bridge but

but taking a look at the

step

back

and really

think I'm

about

thinking why

origins

in terms

taking a step back and really thinking about margins in total

how

total

that

will get

you, but I think that's a good

best off about

our

see

the same

get

you to other

a

the twenty

six

margin and

or somewhere in

that will get you based off of our guidance it'll get you to about a twenty twenty six margin

that

like

mid twenty

three

percent right

somewhere in that like mid-twenty three percent range

I have a lot of

you can see that you can see that you can see

it's a very good

have to be able to do

remember

that that's a good

includes

bunch

about

a hundred and a

bases

points

however you have to remember that that includes about a hundred basis points of

of...

how did

that

price

inflation.

just

right because

we're going to

be

around

2%

percent

price

kind of that price inflation dislocation right because we're

in this

year but

gonna be around two percent pricing this year but our

our

up

ex

inflation is

closer to

a

three

opex inflation is closer to three percent

I think that's a good

And so when

you think about it, you can't do

thinking

twenty

two, I'm going to say

you're going to have to do

I would say that I'm not be able

I

would say going to

consider

the

you

know that twenty seven seven seven seven seven

23 and a

half

plus

that

so when you're thinking about twenty twenty seven i would consider you know that twenty three point five percent plus that

oh the

basis

points, you call

them

a mid

did twenty

and my

one hundred basis points so call it a mid-twenty four margin

margin.

It's kind of the

is kind of the baseline

a baseline.

assuming that

we're

able to do

utilize

price

to offset inflation.

and

then

drive

at least

the point of

assuming that we're able to utilize price to offset inflation and then drive at least a point of

trans

to offset the inflation.

in

trans to offset the impact

of our

NROs next

year,

of our nros next year

And then any

additional

traffic

grow up on

top of

that, that's

that'll

be more

gonna

an

and then any additional traffic growth on top of that that'll be margin accretive

a kind of

I don't

usually

pass-through of

somewhere

around

forty

percent,

so I

think that's

give

you

the piece of

pieces, not only for

at our usual pass through of somewhere around forty percent so

Q4,

but kind of like the same

a QR

look at

for

those give you the pieces not only for q four but kinda looking forward

forward.

like a 2008?

very helpful thank you

The next question comes to

thank you the next question comes from chris o'cull with

baird

please go ahead

Oh, I'm going to go to the next store.

Ah, please go ahead.

music.

the house.

bit of a

up um

on that on the

ones in the

marginal

question.

just as a follow-up adam on the response to the margin question

you know there can't

been

making

some

sizable

bone dust and stuff

I've been

just

increased

traffic. What?

Do you

want

the company has been making some sizable investments obviously they increased

I'm not sure if I can do

traffic what comp do you believe is necessary

They will always warn them

perform

with this inflation

to stabilize margin performance with this inflation outlook

outlook.

that

work

we're

cover

aren't

inflation

with

price here,

which

is

what we

intend to

yeah i mean assuming that we're covering our inflation with pricing which is what we

do we might not

get that

right, every

next one.

but we intend to get

that

right over

the

to do we might not get that right every quarter but we intend to get that right over time

time.

We need

about

one

point of

at a

trend

to

ask

the

impact

of new

restaurant

we need about one point of trans to offset the impact of new restaurant openings

openings.

So when you get north of

that

one

1%.

percent

transcomp,

that's

when

you

start

to

see

that

1%

so when you get north of that one percent trans comp that's when you start to see that forty percent

40%

percent,

flow

flow through

Three percent of

closure they

of

know, four percent

so if you're looking at three percent inflation you're thinking a four percent nominal

nominal car might be

that

the third

to

stabilise

comp might be necessary to stabilize margin

margin.

yes that's correct

And

How do you

think about

overall

level

marketing

investment

that's

right for

the

okay and then how are you thinking about overall level of marketing investment

business

as you go

into the

I think that's a good

you're

spend

is up a

over

twenty

that's right for the business as you go into 'twenty seven i think you're

percent year to

the

I'm just

curious if

you expect it to

see

this other

way of doing

spend is up over twenty percent year to date so i'm just curious

growth,

in

marketing

for

spend next

if you expect a similar rate of growth in marketing spend next year

year.

Yeah, I think it's a very good

little

I'm not

um, I think I think I think I think I

the

three percent

hi chris this is scott i think three percent is

is

the

right

wing

for

us to

think

about

like a

can

flight

up

or

down.

we will leave

into

it

the right range for us to think about and that could flex up or down

the

but it's

we will lean into return generating opportunities

And pull back over.

we all see that same

is how it

would think about

and pull back when we don't see that same opportunity is how i would think about it

it.

Um right

now the

can you be

right now the baseline for that budget for the upcoming year will be in that three percent range and

I guess that's all I've

all

think that gives us a really strong calendar to support

calendar of support.

uh

what I believe to be a best in

class

I'll tell you

oh

but

one to the

yeah, come

what i believe to be a best in class lto platform for the upcoming year

We'll

but we'll see there could be opportunities where we want to lean in

we know there will be a return to be gained

So that's

or to be had and so that's where we'll spend our dollars

what

was the most important thing.

great thanks guys

thank you the next question comes from john

ivankoe with

jpmorgan

please go ahead

Well I think you I'm not sure I said

hi thank you the question is on the physical asset

I think it's a good

wear the

package.

itself outside of the high efficiency equipment package

and

Well, what do

you like?

at the aesthetics of the box, and we have to do the

such

really looking at the aesthetics of the box we have talked about

about

this

before.

this before but it's over two thousand

Is over 2,000 chip away restaurants are over 10 years

old

how much

of

an

chipotle restaurants or over ten years old how much of an opportunity

opportunity?

both

the

of

touches

more

perspective might have really been a lot of the

from both the employee and the customer perspective

refresh gives it to the same

give

you a

that bit

because of

a vast

majority

perspective might a refresh give you

of

Chipotle they

make

are

may

not

die

dying

in

any.

of that

i say that because the vast majority of chipotle customers they might not

else that they

actually

come

to you

as

long they

that would have.

not dine in your restaurants but they actually come to your restaurants whether they order on premise

I understand

will take

picked up a

digital

word, so that must be a digital digital

very important

touch

point.

or pick up a digital order so that must be a very important touch point

you know, a lot of

people

so as

you begin to think about the fact that you have

begun to

the

stage

you

know

the

process

for a lot of people so as you've begun the stage gate the process

and comes

terms

of

it

refash

how big is

even I think that's a good

know what they

do you

think it might

be

the

to

terms of refreshes how big of an opportunity do you think

modernise the

brand

of the

it might be to modernize the brand further

brand

money.

Thank you.

um I

think it was a very good

could be little bit of

a

really good

opportunity for

the

hi john thank you i think it could be a really big opportunity for the brand

brand

one of the

barely

early

days

of

we're in the very early days of testing

testing,

um

a group of

rastolites here and a

in

California

Florida

and

Texas.

a group of restaurants here in california florida and texas

I was

almost

done

the

I checked

this

up and

was

running.

we're almost through we're done with california texas is up and running

I think

then

four is

still an early

days of the

remote

i think florida is still in early days of the remodel program

program.

and what we're looking

to

do

is

really

razz

a

back some of

the

like

legacy

a thing

rash

rats

that

than

and what we're looking to do is really resurrect some of the legacy restaurants that are

are, let's call

it

the

first

one

1,000

restaurants

we

built.

in

a bunch of

brand

uh

gosh,

let's call it the first one thousand restaurants we built

now

over, you

know

20, 30 years

I was like, I'm not sure if I can do

in the brand gosh now over twenty thirty years ago

it

And what we're looking

to

do is bring

them

up

to

date

more than a

open

for

them that

more

modern, more

what we're looking to do is bring them up to date more open format more modern more

differentiated

differentiated,

we

think there's

a

strategic

opportunity, we

we're

saying

seeing early

signs that

give

we think there's a strategic opportunity we're seeing early signs that give us

us

confidence that we're going to be able to do

we're

on the

right

confidence that we're on the right track

track.

Uh but we

but we will

all

we'll have

more

to

say

the

probably in the middle of the

key

one or

anything's

and

how

he think about

a

we

remodel

have more to say in the probably in the q1 earnings call and how we think about a remodel

program

if you

will, or a

remote

as

strategy,

but

we think about a

around the

right

program if you will or a remodel strategy but we think we're on the right track

track

We know there's not a

opportunity to

make,

the

environment

that more

a

appealing

uh

we know there's an opportunity to make the environment more appealing

soften up the

environment a

soften up the environment a bit

bit

and

make

the

consumer

feel

more

welcome and

a

our

and make the consumer feel more welcome in our restaurants

restaurants.

thank you

Thank you.

I think it's a very good

US

bait

Me

thank you the next question comes from peter saleh with

u s bank btig

the

TIG.

Please

go

please go ahead

ahead

thanks

for

taking the

question

Scar

you

just

mentioned

great thanks for taking the question scott

the

a

great

uh

LTO

line

up

you just mentioned a great lto lineup

for

2027

I just

trying

to

understand

if

you

guys can

help

us

out

for twenty twenty seven just trying to understand if you guys can help us out

with

with

how

many of us

those

out

LTOs

next

year will

how many of those ltos next year will be

be

at

new

products

new products versus

versus

uh is

this thing

out

that

are

I

coming

back

to

the

existing ltos that are coming back to the menu

menu.

Um yes

a

great

question

for

you,

so

we'll

bring

in

some

yeah it's a great question

new

innovation. You'll

see on

the

counter,

you

will

see

to on

the

counter

peter so we'll bring in some new innovation you'll see on the calendar well you won't see it on the calendar but

but

you

see

as

you can't do

you'll see it as we

as

we

lost

those

products in

the

marketplace and then

you'll

see

some

tried

and true

to

save

at

as we launch those products in the marketplace and then you'll see some tried and true favorites

the I

items

that

we

know

consumers

I think I

because

they

to do

can

wa

bring them

items that we know consumers want because they tell us daily to bring them back

I we

and so we have

out the counter to

have

about

four

center of

the

to plate

ltos

and

then

what

setting up the calendar to have about four center of the plate ltos and then

could

I deal

lay

lead into

two

his

eyes

we'll continue to lean into sides dips

I'm not going to let you get

and

I

we're

gonna really

be a

little

put it

was a bit of a

in the

upcoming

I am not a

and we're going to really be a little more front footed on beverage innovation in the upcoming year

year, we

think there's

a

really

way

race to

I am very happy to be able to do it.

we think there's a really strategic opportunity for our brand

what to write is it's a me for

way

I am a very good

I'm going to go to the next

I

with

our

beverage

partners

to drive incidents in a meaningful way through our partnerships with our beverage partners

and I

I'm not sure if I can do

Oh you

I am not going to be able to do

I'll see you

i get

this

all the

so you'll see more of that but i don't want you to think that lto and i get this all the time

time

in

additional

complexity

necessarily

for our

rash

to

teams I should

the

plate

means additional complexity necessarily for our restaurant teams

played

lto

be right

a

sauce

change

on

our

core

our center of the plate ltos are really just a soft change on our core protein

protein I

think's

are

like doing

that

with

ease

in our

restaurants

and

to

trade

from one to the

our teams are executing that with ease in our restaurants and transition from one to the next

next

is

more

simple.

than

you

would

find

in

most

brands that

have

an L

LTO

is more simple than you would find in most brands

O strategy.

that have an lto strategy so

So,

don't

be

discouraged

by

the

pace of

I think that's the only thing that

don't be discouraged by the pace of innovation there

I want to

put

forward

products

that

I'm not sure if I can do

are on

trend on

market

on

brand

and

that

just know that we're gonna put forward products that are on trend on market on brand

will

drive

to

the

and that will drive demand

demand

and

great

that

I'm not sure if I can do

and create value we've learned that

our consumers are looking at value a different way

I

the other

way they

look

at

our consumers are looking at value in different ways price isn't the only way they look at value

value it

look

at

you

know,

innovation

then

innovation, is a

really

que

they look at innovation menu innovation is a really meaningful point

point

in

knew about

that you

in the overall value equation

I am a very good

you

very

thank you very much

Yeah, I can't use

Let's

goes to the next

you may

the next question comes from andrew charles with td cowen

please go ahead

Oh, he had

Thank

you talk

talks about high 3% of

sales

spent

great thank you you talked about high three percent of sales spent on marketing

marketing my marketing

fourth quarter

I'm

they

the four

or plan for marketing in the fourth quarter and i'm curious with fernando in place for the full quarter

uh

order,

you!

should expect this to be

with

a fair

run,

raid for

the first

half,

steps

of

2020

Kevin be a

should we expect this to be a fair run rate for the first half of twenty twenty seven and beyond

and

answer.

me at

to

the

point

here

where

we're

going to kind of

we haven't gotten to the point yet where we're going

an idea of how

has

it's gonna be you know

kind of give an idea of how it's gonna be you know from quarter to quarter

from quarter to quarter next year, but it's got set

said

that

will reapers

that rage or

around

year but as scott said earlier we're somewhere in that low three percent range or around three

three percent for next

year

or

ebb and

all

as

we

for next year but we'll ebb and flow that as we see

see

fit uh

whether

a

when

lines with you

in from a

you

know

he is

there for

it

fit whether it aligns with what we're doing from a

or from

a

big

advertising

standpoint where I

I'm

tv standpoint or from a big advertising standpoint around when

when

certain

LTO

is

you

you're

certain ltos drop

different things that we want to make

that

we believe

could

a

great

return

or different investments that we wanna make that we believe we can get a great return from

not

helpful and then

just

other than

price

so I

as

well,

we

know

there

is

the

okay that's helpful and then just on the pricing side as well we know there was

Rams

throughout

this

year.

Either tap

with

the

between

I have a lot of

think

I I'm going to go to the

I am a very good

a ramp throughout this year are you guys happy with the two percent rate do this as

don't

will be able to do

you talk

talked about

I think I have

I'm going to go to the

I have

Lord of

to

is it insulation for

sustainable level i know you talked about adam for instance low to mid single digit inflation for twenty twenty

I am not going to be able to do

I'm go the next

I apply to the

you

and

of price

was

look

seven what's kind of your philosophy on pricing as you look ahead

ahead.

you.

Yeah, yeah,

really

hasn't

to

change.

I mean I'd

they, you know,

all

woo

yeah i mean it really hasn't changed i mean i'd say

why when I went continue to

look

at

you know

I didn't do

price

in

but

we

you know over the long run we're gonna continue to look at utilizing price offset

want to do

it in

a

very

as a

I'm not sure if I can do

inflation but we wanna do it in a very measured patient way

I'm not

is

and i say that because if there's

the

if there's

you

know,

temporary

or

transitory

increases in

a

which you

you know temporary or transitory increases in inflation that we know is only gonna last

oil last a few

last a few months

We are

utilize that all the days that I'll

We won't utilize

those

cars

to

So it's

not

we won't utilize that opportunity of course to pass it on we'll we'll eat those costs and so it's more of that

want

longer

longer term

term, and then

you get

and

inflation but

hey

know you

in the

primarily in the past

past

it's

been

go to

that

two

percent,

range, and

so we hope to

get it

back

to

that

sooner rather

than

later

it's

just

not

it's been closer to that two percent range and so we hope to get back to that

looking

like

a

gonna

happen in

I think it's a very good

this

sooner rather than later it's just not looking like that's gonna happen in twenty twenty seven at this point

I think that's a good

Boy,

point of

to know

that

but we'll give more color on that as we get into next year

the

way

we're

rolling

out

price thing of

the

course

is

the

allows

but i think it's important to note that the way we're rolling out pricing across the system allows us

I like that by the

like

to measure pre and post net of control the impact of that price lift

I am a little bit of a

ex

and so we

think it's a very good

ensure we don't see resistance greater than we

they we

uh

wear a

to

flex

price

in up or

you

down

with

should and so we're able to flex pricing up or down

the tiny

all

the

s

discontinue altogether based on what we're seeing happening in the consumer environment

they don't have

in the Katuma dharma

or

day.

that's helpful thanks

I have a lot of

thank you the next question comes from brian harbour with morgan

stanley

I

I think that's the only thing that I've

yes thanks hi guys the

Hey

I think it's a very good

Yeah, yeah,

high efficiency equipment package is

Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey,

does that comp list that you talked about sustain

Yeah, I think it's a good

that's

nicely i mean this has this been like an increasing contributor through the course

of this year to your

WHY

your same store sales is that what you expect in twenty seven as well

I think it's a very good

think it's a very good

that's the only thing that I've

think

that's

the

be a very good

yeah i mean expect it to continue to build so as we talked about on

the call or in the prepared comments we're at about seventeen hundred restaurants but as we said in the past

I where

I said, I'd rather take up

for

so

to really start to see that comp with coming fruition,

right

there the

takes a few months for us to really start to see that comp lift coming to fruition right the

teams have

got to

get

used

to

the

new

quote

and

then

it's

takes a while

for

the

guests to

really

see kind

of

teams have got to get used to the new equipment and then it takes a little while for the guests to really

see kind of that

that

better.

um

hospital

you know

taste

the

to

food

going

up

all

of

the

those

and

that better hospitality you know taste of food going up all of those elements

like a

little

bit

longer

I'm not sure if I can do

a little bit longer as well

so

there's

a

bit

of

a lag

and

so there's a bit of a lag and so

so

i

would

look

at

it as

you

even

though it

was

seventy

would look at it as even though we're through seventeen hundred restaurants

restaurants.

as well I

half

of

those

restaurants that

are

were

actually

know it's probably only half of those restaurants that we're actually seeing

I'm not sure if I can do it.

don't know.

twice

one

enough to

get

that

complicated so i expect us

to

continue

the

build and

everything

you know that have been in place long enough to get that accomplished so i expect this to continue to build

that

we

look

at

whether

it's

that

first

phase or

of

was

and everything that we look at whether it's that first phase of restaurants

I am not sure if I can do

don't

whatever

the

ones that have

kind

of

hit

that

two or

three

more two or

three

month

mark

was

those

comp

or the ones that have kinda hit that two or three mark two or three month mark

with

as

a

saying

that

I think that's the same

point

I am very happy to be able to do it.

I'm not sure if I can

those comp lifts have sustained in that couple hundred basis point range

think it's a very good

I think it's a very good

I think I have

so we're excited to continue to build on this because i think it'll build on our comps in twenty twenty seven and also in

twenty eight

I think it's a very good

I find out there is

as

well to

follow

I think I'll be able to do

as

we are seeing the

in

those

restaurants

yeah and an important note there as well to follow on is we're seeing in those restaurants

where we're

fully

really

where we're fully loaded

loaded.

Stronger

guesses that

is

fast as

score

Strawberry

tastes

of

food

load

scores,

and

better

through

stronger guest satisfaction scores stronger taste of food scores

throughput.

at

Max

15,

which

tells

us

on

the

right

track and

as

that can be a

and better throughput at max fifteen which tells us we're on the right track and as that

the

to rule

out

to the

entire

system will continue to be a

scale

and

continues to roll out to the entire system we'll continue to scale and build

him.

visit.

Do you still have to do

like the

can't

can't do

okay great do you still expect

I am just yeah what I say I

kind of the mix dynamics that you've been seeing just within same store sales do you still expect

I am a man of the world.

that to continue

continuous

for

the

near term

I

do

so

make

them

and

tag in a

quarter for

example, was

yeah i mean for the near term do so mix impact in the quarter

about a

minus one

to

think it's a very good

for example was about a minus one point four percent it's still driven

Said

Driven by lower groups, which

is not a very

to

by lower group size which again is being driven by increased rewards engagement

the nature.

and you

know,

rewards

within the

tales

had

been growing

nicely

and grow

it round

what,

and you know rewards percent of sales has been growing nicely i think we're at around

33 percent or

I think I'm not

thirty three percent or so right now we were at about a thirty or thirty one

now we were

every one

percent last year

at that same time nice improvement there's a thing that people coming in

at that same time and so seeing nice improvement there so think of that as people coming in and

But they mean

for

that

lowering

in

that

group

redeeming for free entrees or certain elements there that's lowering that group size

size.

and so

that

we

expect

to

continue,

especially as we

continuing to win and

it

on for

the

and so that we expect to continue especially as we continue to lean in on rewards

words

but we're also

the

seeing an

nice

offset

from extramed

for

example

So

still

up

what

about

we're also seeing a nice offset from extra meat for example so

money

still up about twenty percent

from the protein campaign that we launched in january we'll of course start to lap that this january

Anyway,

well the

same

you know all

but we're also seeing you know offsets in cilantro lime sauce

I'm not going to be able

had about a

I'm not going to be able

or

of

chili lime.

I think it's a very good

with

we only had about a month of chili lime chips but that was in there as well

but that was in as well and then of course family

But

then of course family meals but again

yeah.

I

expect

that

to be a very

know we're

rough

a

hundred

days at

a

point

right from

good.

the

i i expect that you know roughly hundred basis points

I

drag from group size to continue as we continue to lean into rewards

I don't

am a very good person.

the city, the family of the family is

I

it'll ebb and flow based off of some of this lto activity

okay.

of the

It is.

thank you the next question comes from john tower with citi

please go ahead

Ways he

Please go ahead and

Let's take a question.

First, if you speak to the

delivery that

great thanks for taking the question i'm curious if you could speak to the delivery business

ways

thought i

with any

channels yes you're saying with

what you saw in the quarter and frankly if there's any channel shifts you're seeing with consumers

considered

and

so very, very,

there

were any in

and it

nation is on a

and specifically are there any initiatives underway to

underway

to try

try and

tryin'. Ye builded by you,

uh

perception

with

to

consumers in

that

kennel

specific

you know build the value perception with consumers in that channel specifically

kind of

start with

just kind

of

what

we're

seeing I

a

mean

it

was kind

of

you

low

single digit kind

cart

yeah i i kinda start with just kinda what we're seeing i mean it was kind of a low single digit

but an

I want to see with

the

in terms of the

growth in the

comp but in all honesty it was the least in terms of growth

digital

channels

Order

ahead was

with

our

primary

growth, and there's a

lot

I don't

going

on in

there

especially

in the digital channels order ahead was our our primary grower i mean there's a lot of things going on in

around the

wards and a

scout

mentioned

earlier,

50

1500,

Chipotle

Lanes.

that's

driving

a

lot of

there especially around rewards and as scott mentioned earlier fifteen hundred chipotlanes that's driving a lot of

people

to

order a

people to order ahead

head. I

then

And

catering

actually

out-comped a

delivery as

then catering actually outcomp delivery as well

well.

a

delivery

is

still, you

know,

seeing

growth

on

a year over

of your

basis

just

not

as

much

the

other

digital

but delivery is still you know seeing growth on a year over year basis just not as much as the other digital channels

channels. God don't

know you

want

anything

to

the head.

Yeah, I think I

the Lord is a very good

important

still

a

huge

growth

scott don't know if you want anything to add yeah i delivery is still a huge growth channel

channel,

and

we

sent

a lot of

and we've seen a lot of growth

roads

over

the

over

o

the

last

week

over the last three quarters

quarters.

but you

know, we're

seeing

a

lot of

progress

with

loyalty i

think

loyalty

comes

are

up

but we're seeing a lot of progress with loyalty i think loyalty comps are up over

over

uh

in

rest

restaurant

camps

for

the

quarter,

They

relax

has

really

paid

in restaurant comps for the quarter

his

these

dividends right

now

have

$24

million

the relaunch has really paid huge dividends we now have twenty four million people

people in.

a rewards

program and a

are

draw.

driving

33%

of

our

in the rewards program that are driving thirty three percent of our transactions

transactions.

for

the

entire

system, we

think

that

number

to

move

much

higher if you want

talk to

all

Oly

for the entire system we think that number can move much higher if you talk to arlie

it

say.

tell

me we are the

all

50

percent

range

and

has

aspirations

and

in

plans

to

get

there,

she'd tell you it should be in the forty fifty percent range and has aspirations

and plans to get there but

but

uh

oh, there's a

lot

of

under

the

hood

that's

big

worked

on

to

continue

to

drive

man

through

the

there's a lot under the hood that's that's being worked on to continue to drive demand through the channel

to

channel

We got a

Should take

taking the

got it thanks for taking the question

question

quick

The next

question

comes from

Brian

thank you the next question comes from brian bittner

dear? With

with oppenheimer and company

me,

please go

please go ahead

said

went

Thank

you.

Um.

It's

interestingly he's

hear

here they

they're gonna

going to

thank you it's interesting to hear that that you're gonna be

begin

this

catering

roll

out

and in

the

first

quarter. Can you

talk about

to

us

about what you're

percentage of the

this catering rollout in the first quarter can you talk to us

your

markets

you

can sign

about what percentage of your markets you can scale

scale.

The case is a little bit more than a little bit

strategy

to

or should

we

actually

be

thinking

of

this

as

a

national

the catering strategy to or should we actually be thinking of this as a national strategy

strategy?

and

And can

you get a

me little bit of

us

an

idea

of

the

performance

you've

been

seeing

in

these

pilot

markets

can you give us an idea of the performance you've been seeing in these pilot markets that

that

maybe get a lot of

you

the same

confidence to be able to do

really

get

after

maybe give you the confidence to really get after

after this

this opportunity

opportunity.

thanks

Thanks.

Me.

A day for the

question. We

think

um, if we think about

a

really

strategic

yeah thanks for the question we think it's a really

opportunity, you

for

strategic opportunity for us

us.

So

it's

more of

than

a

that

roll

and the

upcoming

quarter,

it's more of a national rollout in the upcoming quarter but

but we'll

continue

to

add

on

elements

of

the

offering that will be

continue

to

we'll continue to add elements of the offering that will continue to

have its

scale

and

ramp for

the

have it scale and ramp for the consumer

because

consumer.

whether

that's

no

why

whether that's third party marketing

marketing

i

third

party

third party delivery

delivery

and

or

the

technology

of

advancements we

need

to

make

ensure

we're

low

load balancing

correctly

and or the technology advancements we need to make to ensure we're load balancing

across

correctly across restaurants

restaurant

are

We think

made

today

so group

occasionally represents

represent

two to three

percent

of

say

we think today so group occasions today represent two to three percent of sales

sales.

with

if you look

at what

art some

of

our

competitors

in

the

space are

doing.

upwards

a

of

if you look at what our some of our competitors in the space are doing

510

there I

say

a

fifteen

of

total

sales

in

and

catering we

know

there's

upwards of five ten dare i say fifteen percent of total sales in catering

an

enormous

we know there's an enormous opportunity

opportunity.

We're not trying to get to

15

tomorrow

morning well

What we'd like to do

is

see

what it

or

are

we're not trying to get to fifteen tomorrow morning what we'd like to do is

two points

of

growth

year

over

year and the

next

couple

of

years

we

continue to

ramp

and

one or two points of growth year over year in the next couple of years and we continue to ramp

scale

uh the

goal

here

is

to

ensure

we

can

scale the goal here is to ensure we can deliver

deliver

say

have to

raised

consumer

experience

and

not disrupt

the poor

whole

I am afraid of the

an incredible consumer experience and not disrupt the core business

would

just probably

number

one for

which is priority number one for us

us

Women.

for one

last

questioner that

will

thank you and i understand there is time for one last questioner

wu

be

a

Gregory

Frankfort

that will be gregory frankfurt with guggenheim securities

was

please go ahead

Wis

WAEEEEES WEEK.

eh eh, that

thanks for sneaking me

My question was

just on

hey thanks for sneaking me in my question is just on

um

International

and

maybe

which

what you

are

seeing

I

think

y

you

call

that

kinda opening

up

fifteen

to

international and maybe what you're seeing there i think

twenty

five

stores

overseas

next

you called out kind of opening up fifteen to twenty five stores overseas next year

year.

I am not sure if I can do

the store is a good

you have

get

visit the

willing

to break

the

out, how

many of

those

might

be

company

i'm not sure if you guys are willing to break out how many of those might be company operated

operated,

um

and then kind

of

what's the

of

ramps are the same as the

and then kind of what sort of ramp

maybe

we

should explain to the majority of the

expect

from

there the next

couple of

years.

maybe we should expect from there in the next couple of years thanks

next

for

15

to

25

will

be

all

partner

yeah so those fifteen to twenty five will be all partner operated

operated

across

the

region of

where

we're

open

across the regions where we're open today

w

today.

I.

have a

not sure if I can do

I'm

the way, have a very good

like I'm going to be able to do

not sure if I can

I'm going to be a little bit

owned

of

to

the three hundred forty to three hundred sixty will be equity owned so they

they

uh

U.S.

Canada, and

western

us canada western europe

Euro

Europe I was

some

limited

they rode and

Western

yup,

with some limited growth in western europe we are now

we are

now

are Adam

go there we

either of

pipeline

there

we

which

takes

time as you

can

actively building a development pipeline there which takes time as you can imagine

a

I wait I wait

I and

so most of that growth will come through partner operated al shia group

don't

in the middle east our middle eastern partner

What know

as well.

a

to go to the next

has really aggressive plans for growth there

I'm not sure if I can do

I am not afraid of the money.

up

we'll expand to singapore in q1 with our partner spc and then open up

I am not sure if I can do

mexico city

I'm not

what you want to do

early q1 as well or q1 q2 of next year

make a

So that one is all

goes coming

in they go

faster,

so that's where the growth is coming can they go faster perhaps

How

it'll really depend on what's going on with the conflict in the middle east

I already know what's going on with the car.

and I've had a part of

there's

in

Latin

the first

in Southeast

be

a good

it's a

get

to

and how fast our partners in latin america and southeast asia can get up to speed

yeah and i i would just add one thing on our company operated in europe we

continue to show better economics and we actually had comps in the low

Tow

Set

double digit range in q3 i think we mentioned they were in the high single digit range in q2

so that is driving increased restaurant margins and our cash on cash

returns in central london and frankfurt are still very attractive so like scott mentioned we're going to continue to grow in

Sister

those areas

well thank you for joining us today i'm really proud of the progress our team

the one hundred and forty thousand team members out in our restaurants that worked so hard for us

every single day

deliver an incredible experience to our support center staffs

See

I have to say that I have to do

you

really

in the early days

of

here in newport beach in columbus you know we're in the early days of our

for growth strategy

and believe much of the growth is still to come

the

think that's a really important note and we've seen measurable progress

across twenty twenty six with positive transactions in every quarter

and we've seen promising results in multiple areas of the five pillars of our strategy

Hist

looking forward we're gonna continue to build momentum in this dynamic environment

and many of our initiatives are in early stages of the rollout

Six.

as i said earlier i know we have the right strategy and the right team and more growth levers

in place today than any point in our history

Sic

and i'm confident in our ability to build chipotle into a global iconic brand

while creating long term value for our guests our teams

Bakoi, a long time value, that teams, age

air

I think it's

a really

of

that I

loaded

didn't

perfect

that we

and our shareholders i think it's a really important note to to say that

are

should

still

we are still a category defining brand

define my

that is the way people wanna eat in the world today

The world

Today, and you have to kill.

and looked.

hoo-rogen

and so i think that's an important note and that there's more growth in front of us

and I like

behind

it been

the whole

we

have a little bit of a little bit of a

than there is behind us and if you're asking a question are we still a growth brand

all we have

initially linked

we absolutely are we have industry leading economics

at

I'm not sure if I can do

we have incredible growth in front of us and an extraordinary team of professionals

look at

that are committed to our strategy

coming across that

there was

is once

ho

you can't

it, and you

your

of

all

that said i just wanna say thank you for your continued support your confidence in chipotle

and we look

ward up any

or

contained

progress

we look forward to updating you on our continued progress next quarter

next

quarter.

not sure if I can do it.
